2008 WINNERS

Categories Primary | Secondary | Open

In a show of support for local talent, more than 380 people attended the second annual Janison Short sharp Film Festival from the Mid North Coast and across NSW. The audience was enthusiastic and came to support their favourite film or just see what was on offer.

It was difficult task for the judges, Victoria Thaine, Simon Portus and Jacquie Houlden, to decide on the winners and they wanted to award a prize to all 16 finalists.

Festival chair Carl Richardson said “The judges had very long discussions
before deciding on the winners and it was an extremely close call.”

Christina Hyde, a festival executive, remarked “It was a fantastic evening and it is growing into such a big event. Being able to provide such great prizes because of our sponsorship this year is a wonderful boost to budding filmmakers to help them make their next film. The signature item for 2009 is a Colander – visual or verbal – so start making those films now!!!!
